Support at Home (2025): what older Australians need to know

From 1 July 2025, Support at Home replaces Home Care Packages and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme. If you're already on a package, your funding rolls over — you don't need to reapply.

There are now eight funding levels (up from four), a separate Assistive Technology and Home Modifications budget, and clearer service categories so you know exactly what you're paying for.
