Choosing the right support worker (it's not just qualifications)

14 April 20264 min read

Every provider in NSW will tell you their workers are police-checked, AHPRA-aligned where required, and trained in manual handling. Good. That's the floor, not the ceiling.

The real questions to ask: Do they live nearby? Will the same one or two people turn up each week? Do they share an interest — gardening, footy, baking — with the person they're supporting?

We do a free meet-and-greet before anyone starts. No paperwork pressure, no commitment. If the chemistry isn't right, we keep looking.
